I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I will never forget the first time I met her in Vancouver and how she was looking out for you. I always thought it was funny that she had a better social life than we did! She will be sorely missed but always remembered. My condolences to you, Fen and the rest of your family.

Patty, Lisa, Mary- when a family plays a huge role in your early life you never forget them. Although its been a very long time since we have seen each other you are regularly in my thoughts, as is Shirley. Thinking of her and all the kooky things we did way back when, warms my heart. Thanks for letting me know Patty.
My thoughts are with you all. May you be left with loving memories!

So, so sorry to hear this news, but thank you, Lisa, for letting me know. I have nothing but happy memories of 'Shirl' ; too many to list here actually! To me she was the original 'cool mom'. So full of fun and managed to be both a career woman and wonderful mother. Those lucky enough to have known her are surely better people because of it! Wish I could be there to help celebrate her life with you all.

I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. Your mom was one of the all time great friends' moms for me. Who else would take the kids yodeling in the Finch Forest? Shirley was awesome and I have missed her for years already. Very sad to know she has passed. I wish you well and please pass along my condolences to all the family

I am so sorry. I loved her very much and willalways remember the fun times we had, Margarita's by the pool, herdinner's, her bread, the time we did the fish in the garden. Most of all the love she had for everyone including me, I was lucky tobe able to call her mom and it didn't bother you or her. I am very sorryfor your loss and have you in my heart. I wish I was able to attend the service. Love you!!! Ed

Shirley was a wonderful, kind woman, full of life and humour. I regret I hadn't seen her since she moved to Ontario, but her loving personal and warmth still resonate and will always be with me. To Lisa, Fen and the rest of her family, you have my deepest sympathies and compassion. Rest well, Shirley. You've earned it.
