MacRae, Hazel - peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Thursday, December 1, 2011, Mrs. Hazel Ferguson MacRae, nee McKercher, of London in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan F. MacRae. Loving mother of Marjorie and her husband Michael of Calgary and Norma and her husband Jon of Geneseo, New York. Cherished grandmother of Leslie and Catherine Plumb and Ian and Graeme Ward (fiancée Lindsey). Sister of the late Wilma MacGregor. Hazel was proud to work in Ottawa during the war years until her marriage to Ivan in 1945. Then she lived in Brantford and Chatham before moving to London in 1976. She was a member of New St. James Presbyterian Church for 35 years, where she was active in the choir, Women's Missionary Society and Glengarry groups. Visitation on Sunday from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, December 5 at 12:00 noon by The Rev. Andrew Reid. Cremation will be followed by interment at a later date in Gordon Church Cemetery, Glengarry County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society or Gordon Presbyterian Church, St. Elmo (ancestral church of Hazel and Ivan's families) would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Marjorie, Norma and your families, We are deeply saddened by Cousin Hazel's passing. We have had long lives, Hazel and I, but we always expect to hear our cheery voices over the telephone.
