I remember Evie well, especially from my skating days. I thought it was really cool that someone important would skate with me and talk to me when we were warming up.
I also remember great conversations when I was older and we got together or saw each other out and about.
I'm very sorry to hear of Evie's passing and I wish I could offer my sympathy in person.
You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you find comfort in family and friends. With love, Sarah

I first met Evelyn when I started on the London Skating Club board. Evelyn was always full of energy, and a wealth of information regarding the history of the club and skating in London. Everytime we talked, we (well, mostly Evelyn!) would chat for hours, and I would take in all the history she could give. I truely enjoyed our chats and will miss her persistent smile, a smile that was widest when talking about skating.

I am so sorry to hear that Evie is no longer with us. I worked with her at London Life for many years. We became good friends and I even had the good fortune to sit side by side with her for a few years. We enjoyed many laughs and stories during that time and I will always remember her with a smile.

I was surprised to hear of Evelyn's passing. I have known her for 12 years. I had the privilege of skating with her as partners at the 100th Anniversary Skating Gala and show of the London Skating Club , and the weekly skate practices. What I noticed about her was the warmth and authentic desire towards skating and her many volunteering activities. I will miss her presence at the club and her dedication towards her favourite sport of skating. From a fellow's love of skating, Randy.

The London Skating Club adults will miss Evy and her interesting stories. I was so happy to see her mobile again after breaking her hip. I thought, "nothing can slow her down". She was always full of positive energy and took the time to get to know every skater. I shall miss her very much.

It brings great sadness to the skating community to lose Evelyn Bastow. Evelyn was a true Londoner and historian. Her passion was skating and giving to the community. She will be sadly missed by many.
