Jean Campbell

Death Notice

Campbell, Jean - peacefully at Marian Villa on Monday, June 11, 2012, Mrs. Jean M. Campbell, nee Palethorpe of London in her 95th year. Beloved wife for 60 years and best friend of the late H.R. Gordon Campbell (2007). Loving mother of Marilyn Millar and her husband Bob of Markham, Diane Evans and her husband Jim of Mississauga, and Walter of London. Dear grandmother of David Millar, Jessica and Christopher Evans. Sister of the late Lawrence Palethorpe (Mary). She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. The Campbells were members of Riverside United Church since 1959, where Jean was very involved with the UCW. Her service of 25 years as a dietician began in 1942 at Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto, and she retired in 1982 from Victoria Hospital, London. Jean was also active with March of Dimes for many years and cared deeply about the health and well-being of her community. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 - 9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside United Church, 451 Dunedin Drive at Riverside. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Riverside United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.
