I met Eleanor while walking my dog at St Peter's Seminary some years ago. Eleanor also had her dog. There was a connection of spirit..and the common bond of a great love for animals. I visited her home a couple of times and met her son and granddaughter. I gave Eleanor my dog stories, 'Memoires of a Spotted Mutt' and I believe I also gave her 'Samantha's Angel' in memory of my daughter.' I am now an Anglican priest living in Newfoundland. I wrote to E. once, I think and I have a lovely watercolor card from her. My connection with her was brief, but had a profound impact on me. There was such a sweetness about her...such a beautiful spirit. Just wanted to share this with you. God bless

does nothing difelrfntey if you notify them you are staying late.Dave was my friend, and his loss has hit our circle really hard because he was the best of the best: loving of his family and friends, the guy who always brought quick wit to the table, and remembered to keep things fun especially in some really tough situations. But he was VERY private--maybe to his detriment, I am still struggling with that piece. The above comments are valid, and I agree with Jay's point, ESPECIALLY in light of Dave being in the IT department (no small irony there). USM may "look into it" but in reality, things will not change unless his family decides to make a high-profile lawsuit out of it, or the gods forbid, this happens again.
