I was sorry to read of the loss of your mom. She was always so very wonderful to me and I have such lovely memories of her. What a blessed long life she had! I just wanted you all to know I am thinking of you.

John & Marni--we express our condolences on the passing of your Mother. So pleased we had the opportunity to meet her briefly at the residence. Take comfort in knowing she had a very full life.

It was with sadness and yet a sense of acknowledgement of a life well lived that I reflected upon when reading about Velma's passing. She was a woman ahead of her time in terms of being involved intensely with her family, her business world and her volunteer community. She gave back to so many in her life. My first exposure to Muskoka life was through being at Rupe and Velma's Muskoka cottage with Chrissie and we have since spent over 40 years enjoying our own Muskoka cottage as a result. We also knew Velma's twin brother, Wilf Goltz through our friendship with Lois (Ray) Porter at Wood Lake. May you treasure the wonderful memories and my regret is that I cannot be there in person to convey my condolences to John, Marnie and Chris in person. My deepest sympathy to you and your families.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. May God Bless you all as you support each other and hold tight to cherished memories. John, I did not have the pleasure of meeting your mother, but I know that she must have been a terrific lady to have raised a son like you. Our prayers are with you.
