Death Notice

Anderson, Phyllis (nee Kohl) - Lived life large, but left us on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. A London gal with strong rural roots, she was a pianist, teacher, artist, community volunteer and loyal friend. Loving mother of Lori Anderson (Charles Merredew) of Ottawa and Suzanne Anderson (Patrick Rocca) of Toronto. Dear sister of Maxine Mackle (Tracey) of Connecticut and the late Don Kohl (Elsie) of Mississauga. Special aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews in Ontario and south of the border. Honorary mom to many. Visitation on Sunday September 9 (2-4 p.m.) at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street (at Richmond). Funeral service Monday, September 10 (2:00 p.m.) at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street. Interment to follow at Birr United Cemetery. A reception in celebration of her life will be held at her second home, Aroma Mediterranean Restaurant, 717 Richmond Street (at Piccadilly), on Monday at 4 p.m. In recognition of her passion for music, the family is initiating the Phyllis Anderson Memorial Award.
