Miller, Mary Elizabeth (Millar) - Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of 63 years to Bill Miller and cherished mother to children Joanne (Glenn), Margo, Barb (Andy) and Dan (Gillian), 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her sister Mollie and predeceased by sister Gwen. A dedicated nurse for over 20 years, Mary helped and cared for countless Londoners and their families. Mary and Bill's love of travelling was matched by their love of the game of golf at Sunningdale Golf Club. Mary developed many close friendships exchanging golf foursomes of summer for bridge foursomes of winter. She will be deeply missed. A special thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital for the wonderful care they provided particularly those in the Cardiac Care Unit. A memorial service will be conducted at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street at Dufferin on Friday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation the hour preceding. For Margo - Thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. I remember your Mom when I worked with her at St Joe's ER. She was always willing to be "Mom" to the nurses who were a bit younger than she was. I will be thinking of you in the days ahead as you mourn the loss of a very loving mother but also celebrate a life well lived. Take care.

I'll miss your quiet smile, the twinkle in your eye and your friendship. I always envied your golf ball down the middle. Thank you for all the happy memories. Lucy Williams

I will miss Mary's bright and friendly personality. I played golf with her numerous times this past summer in the 9-hole Tuesday draws. She will be missed by all the 18 and 9 hole ladies. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I first met Mary in the late 1970's when I became friends with her son Dan. I did not get to know her well but my memories are of a kind, intelligent and classy woman.
To Dan, Bill and their immediate and extended families I wish to extend my deepest sympathies for the sad and sudden loss of Mary.

To Mary's family,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I remember meeting her at Branksome alumnae receptions in London, and also at our Golf Day. She was a lovely lady, and my heart goes out to you as you cope with her loss.
