Death Notice

VOLLANS, James Henry - Peacefully at University hospital, London on Friday, January 18, 2013 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Florence Vollans. Dear father of Linda Lowry-Campbell and her husband Ron of Paris and David Vollans and his wife Heather of Ancaster. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Stephnie (Lowry) and Paul Perreault and their children Madeleine and Benjamin of Brantford, Heather Lowry and her children Theo and Truman Klaver of Toronto, Robert Lowry and Bev Armstrong of Kitchener and their children Evan and Brooke, Matthew and Rachel Vollans and their son Mason and Kimberly Vollans of Ancaster and Timothy Vollans of Surrey, England. Dear brother of Ethel Cummings, Frances Coupal (Howard) and Irene Davis. Predeceased by his brother Bill Vollans and sister Mildred Derbyshire. Jim was a veteran of World War II serving with the RAF overseas where he flew more than 30 missions. He was also a longstanding member of the Windsor Masonic Lodge. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond, London. The funeral service will be conducted at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 280 St. James Street at Wellington, London on Thursday January 24 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Memorial contributions to the Church of St. John the Evangelist would be gratefully acknowledged.
