FEDERICO, Joseph Nicholas - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph Federico at University Hospital on the morning of Wednesday, October 23, 2013. He will be dearly missed by everyone whose life he touched. Joe is survived by wife Judy, his sons Joe and Bradley, daughter Nicole and son-in-law Alan. Proud grandfather of Joey. Dear brother of John (Sylvia), Doreen (Ivan) and pre-deceased by brother Vic (1972). Uncle Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the 6th floor nursing staff at University Hospital for all their kindnesses, as well as all the caring home support provided by the Southwest CCAC. A celebration of Joe's life will be held at James A. Harris Funeral Home (220 St. James Street at Richmond) on Monday, October 28th at 1:00pm and visitors will be received from 12:00-1:00pm. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation gratefully acknowledged.

We just wanted to send along our wishes of condolence to the Federico family. I'll always remember Nikki bringing Joe to the John Labatt Centre to the Michael Buble show. And if I'm not mistaken Joe & Nikki had the opportunity to meet Michael. You will be missed Joe.

Forever in my heart and soul. I may live far away, but you are all in my heart, and always have been. My only regret living here has been my limited physical access to my family and relatives. Believe me when I say I cherish all my memories with you, and believe me when I say my Uncle Joe meant so much to me and my children, too. Namaste

It is with great love and respect that I remember my Uncle Joe. He always had that twinkle in his eye, as if he had a secret or a surprise, and of course always had perfect hair. I'll miss you Uncle Joe. You were always so much fun to be with!
