I had the good fortune to work with Dr. Schloessin as a post-doc during the '80s. He was a man of high erudition; always treated his colleagues and students with respect. Any conversation with him was enlightening; always; he will be dearly missed!

Sorry to hear of Dr. Schloessin's passing. I remember him as a keen biker to work and anywhere else. He was interested in conversation on any subject beside his field. Deepest condolences to his family.

Very sorry to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of him when I was his student in the late 80's. I still tell people about how he would regularly pass out chocolates during exams... A class act.
