Florence Mary Gibson, nee Pearson, b. Ethel, ON 1925. Loving Wife of James B. Gibson. Devoted Mother of Judy Temple (Brad), Vicky Gibson, Jim Gibson (Dina), Michael Gibson (Nancy Pettigrew) and John Gibson. Adored Grandmother/Nana of Matthew and Melanie Temple, Tom and Amy Henderson, Sam and Abby Gibson, James and Sydney Gibson. Youngest sister of the late Alex, Roy, Ralph, Margaret, Hugh, Jessie, Ina and Edith Pearson. Sister-in-law of the late Ted and Anne Gibson of Scotland. She met her loving husband of 63 years, James Gibson, in London where they fell in love dancing to Glen Miller at Wonderland Gardens and The Stork Club. They were very social throughout their lives and enjoyed many road trips with friends in one of Dad's cars that he loved. Florence was a country girl at heart but she loved the bright lights of a party too. She was most content surrounded by family and friends and enjoyed many happy days living and raising a family in both Calgary and London. She also helped entertain many close friends and family at the cottage in Grand Bend and the condo in Destin, Florida. Mom took wonderful care of the family, always ready with a meal, a glass of wine, a loving word of encouragement " whatever was needed. She was also the best partner ever at the card table and a favourite golf partner. Florence was with her family when she decided to say bye bye to us forever. Special thanks to the caring staff at Longworth / Westmount Gardens, University Hospital, Alzheimer Outreach Program at McCormick Home and Anita Stenning.
