A Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 4 at 2.00 p.m., at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford Street East at Wellington.

Stewart Geddes

Death Notice

GEDDES, Stewart Porterfield, CD - Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on Saturday September 20, 2014 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Vardon). Loving father of Dr. John A. Geddes (the late Barbara) of Kingston and the Rev. Robert Geddes (Lynne) of Hamilton. Dear grandfather of Kate (Dave), Heather, Brian, Jennifer (Mike) and Jeffrey (Tyler), and great-grandfather of Madeline, Noah, Emma, Maia, and Cate. He was also a loved, “adopted" grandfather to the Gutteridge clan. Stew was a long time and valued member of New St. James Presbyterian Church; a 43 year employee and Administrative Officer of the London Life; Lt. Col. and Commanding Officer of the 7th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery (militia); Commissioner, London District Boy Scouts; member of the Corps of Commissionaires; and current member of the Kiwanis Club and the Legion. The family has appreciated the care of the staff of Chelsey Park, University Hospital and Parkwood Hospital, many friends, and particularly Dr. Jeff Spence.
