Death Notice

Yvette Roscoe Seymour With profound sadness, we must announce Yvette Roscoe Seymour passed away peacefully on October 25, 2014 after a tenacious battle with cancer. In her 89th year, Yvette was surrounded by her loving family as her exemplary life came to an end. Yvette's indomitable spirit and kind heart will be forever cherished by her children Craig, Brent, Kevin, Michelle, Rhys and Brock. Survived by her devoted brother Allan, grandchildren Parker, Lucas and Mateo and son-in-law Philip. Celebrated and mourned by many friends in London, Sarnia and Toronto. Born in Portsmouth England in 1926, Yvette moved as a newborn to Winnipeg, where she developed a deep and lasting love of the Prairie landscape. From Winnipeg to Vancouver, Sarnia to Westport Connecticut to London, Yvette raised her children with great love and devotion, established dynamic, long lasting friendships and greeted the world with her ever present smile, always fashionable dress and trademark asymmetrical slash of coiffed white hair. The family would like to thank the palliative care team of doctors and nurses and the personal support workers of the VON and Medical Priorities for their compassionate, generous care. They were instrumental in allowing Yvette to spend her final days in the comfort of her home, which she loved so much.
