Garth was a model of professionalism. His interests were wide and eclectic and he readily shared them with others with enthusiasm. There was a gentleness in his demeanor that often belied his rigor of mind.We will miss that small smile and quiet word we knew.
Our thoughts are of him and with you.

It is a measure of Garth's influence that someone like myself with very limited real contact with Garth as a Latin teacher immediately is saddened by news of his passing . Yet I am proud and delighted to say I knew this gentle giant.
