Hazel was an award winning actress who performed on stages across the country including the Soulpepper Theatre Company and Canadian Stage in Toronto, and The Stratford Festival. She was an avid yoga practitioner and dog lover among many other things.

Special thanks to Dr. Mark Vincent and his team at the Victoria Hospital cancer clinic for their excellent and compassionate care, and to friends Betty Casey and Mary Neill for their generosity and love in a difficult time.
