Service

The funeral service will be conducted at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington St. at Dufferin Ave., on Friday, June 10 at 11 am by The Rev. Dr. Jeff Crittenden and The Rev. Herbert Summers. Reception to follow.

BIEMAN, William Arthur (Bill) - At his residence surrounded by his family on Monday, June 6, 2016. William Arthur (Bill) Bieman of London in his 87th year. Loved and loving husband of Marian Jane (Beaton). Loving father of Peter Bieman of Edmonton and David Bieman (Bonnie Asselstine) of London. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Bieman of Dorchester (fiancé Andrew Lawton), Katherine Bieman of Dorchester (David Trochimchuk), and Andrew Bieman of Edmonton. Uncle of David Walsh (Joyce) and Michael Walsh (Amanda) all of Kincardine, Mary Jane MacDougall (the late Malcolm MacDougall) of London, and Robert MacGregor (Vicki) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and of many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Joan Beaton of Toronto (the late David Beaton). Bill was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Jeanne Bieman, sisters Margaret Walsh (Hamilton Walsh), Mary Helen MacGregor (James MacGregor) and by his father and mother-in-law Gordon and Jennie Beaton. As an active and a valued member of Metropolitan United Church, Bill chaired and served on various committees. Bill became a member of the London East Rotary Club in 1961. He served as a District Governor and later participated on local, national and international committees. Because of his dedication to Rotary, he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow and a Rotary Foundation Benefactor by Rotarians.
