Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. A Legion memorial service under the auspices of Victory Branch #317 will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 pm.

Service

The funeral service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 280 St. James St. at Wellington on Monday, September 19 at 11 am.

Death Notice

ROBERTS, Charles - Peacefully at his residence with family by his side on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Charles William Roberts of London in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Roberts (2015). Loving father of Mike and his wife Sian of London. Dear Grandpa of Charles and his wife Rachael of Lambeth, Natalie of Grosse Pointe, and Laurie and her partner Mick of Calgary and great-grandfather of Will and Mathew. Brother of the late Doris, Sam, and Jane. Charles served as a tail gunner in the RCAF during WWII, spending almost 2 years as a prisoner of war in occupied Poland. Member of St. John’s Lodge 209a, A.F. & A.M.

His family would like to express sincere thanks to the caregivers from St. Elizabeth Health Care and V.O.N., and especially Dorothy Solomon, who helped to keep him comfortable at home.
