Death Notice

Plowright, Dennis (Denny) Frederick - Peacefully with family at his side at Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, September 24, 2016. A devoted husband to Brenda Plowright (nee Starkey); father to Christopher (Lisa Misurak), Marcus (Dianne) and Michelle (Craig Davis); grandfather to Jacob, Madeline, Tristan, Jake, Samantha, Baden and Jay; brother of Leona (Roy Bateman), Florence (Roy Soltes), Albert (Judy), John (Rae) and Carol (Gerry Ruttan). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his first wife Joyce Plowright (nee DeBock) and his parents George Baden Powell Plowright and Doris Eileen Goldfinch (Running). Denny worked hard at his passions, which included antique cars, boating, motorcycling and worldwide travel. He was a prolific entrepreneur who conceived and built more than 20 businesses. In his early years, he partnered with brother-in-law Andrew Spriet building enterprises such as Anden Vinyl Products, Vytek Corporation, Charleton Building Credits, Atlantic Door, The Common Market, Grand Touring Cars, The Printer's Shoppe, Classic Cars of London, Datsun on York, Airport Hyundai, Hyundai South, South London Nissan and others. In the second stage of his work life he built Talbot Court Executive Centre and formed another successful partnership with the Duffield family building BMW London, Mini London and the Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mitsubishi dealerships. Denny employed hundreds, mentored many who went on to great success of their own, and set a wonderful example of a life lived to the fullest. There will be a private family service.
