Winifred Jarvie

Death Notice

JARVIE, Winifred - Peacefully with family at her side, in her 90th year, Winnie passed away at Craigholme Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig, on Saturday January 14, 2017. Winnie is survived by her sister Elizabeth Revington and husband Don of Lucan. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Paul, Bob, David, Doug, Elizabeth, Ann and Susan. Winnie was predeceased by her parents Robert and Harriet, brother Bill, sister-in-law Dorothy and Doris. Winnie completed her nurses training at London Victoria Hospital in 1948 and went on to complete a certificate in Public Health Nursing and her BScN at Western University. She began her career in Public Health Nursing in Toronto. She then became a Director of Public Health Nursing at the Windsor-Essex Health Unit. The family would like to thank Winnie’s Craigholme Family and Dr. Andrew Whynot for their exceptional care over the past four years. We would also like to thank Harris Funeral Home for their support. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
