Death Notice

ARMSTRONG, Murray - Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Parkwood Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2019, Murray Armstrong of London in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Edith Armstrong. Loving father of Beth Armstrong, Kevin (Lynda) Armstrong, and the late Trudy Nice. Dear grandfather of Paul Nice, Stephen Nice, Angela Nice Purdy (Brian) and Josh Armstrong. Dear great-grandfather of Mitchell and Blake. Also loved by son-in-law Paul Nice Sr. Lovingly remembered by long-time companion Mary and her family. Murray was a WWII veteran serving in the Canadian Navy. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was a gentle, loving soul with a great sense of humour and real compassion. He truly practised loving kindness with everyone he met. Special thanks to the staff at Parkwood for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion which meant so much to all of us. Cremation will be followed by a private family service at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
