MORRIS, Elizabeth “Betty” - Quietly at her home on Thursday, November 19, 2020, Elizabeth Lynch Scobbie Morris, nee Findlay of London age 87. Beloved wife for 64 years of J. Victor Morris. Loving mother of Thomas and his wife Sue of Sudbury, Ann Rogers and her husband Leyland of Sardis, British Columbia, and Moira and her husband Jay Emslie of Richmond Hill. Dear grandmother of Robert (Kim), Tyrrell, Jenny (Eric), Angus (Amber), Christine (Will), Jasper, Michael, Daniel, Jacob, Hannah and Kyle and great-grandmother of Lily, Sophie, Liam, Lincoln, Lachlan and Liam. Sister of Jean Williamson, Charlie Findlay, and the late Sandra Baird all in Scotland. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Betty was an incredibly loving and dedicated Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Her love and care for Victor were beyond words. Betty’s intelligence and incredible work ethic were apparent in everything she ventured. A strong social conscience, Betty volunteered any of her spare time to the Hospital, Maycourt Club, and Church among others. Betty worried about others doing too much and would take on their loads too. Betty was a rock for all who were lucky to have known her. The world is going to miss her love, her passion her wit and her kindness deeply.

Paul and I want to express our sympathy to all of Betty’s family. I will miss her so much. I have so many wonderful memories! She joined us a year ago to go to summer theatre and we were all looking forward to having her as part of the group again next summer. I have admired her dedication to Vic—she has been amazing! She has certainly taken a piece of my heart with her.

To Victor, Tom, Moira, Ann and families,
I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Betty’s passing..
She was such a fun and lively person to be around. Betty constantly talked about you, your families and your dad Victor.
We volunteered together for many years at the May Court Shop and recently she joined our book club. Betty was in attendance at our book club zoom meeting this past Tuesday.
I will miss Betty and especially miss the times we met for tea in her backyard or for a spontaneous lunch or dinner.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to you, Betty’s Family. I lived on Normandy Gardens for 54 years until last year and have known your Mom for a long time. She was a force to be reckoned with - a very strong and lovely lady. We had many visits at McCormick where my Husband was on the same floor as your Dad. Betty will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. My deepest sympathy. Anne Kershaw

My sincere condolences to Victor, Tom, Ann and Moira. I was fortunate to have known your mother for many years through May Court. We worked together at the Shop, played bridge together and were in Book Club. What a marvellous person, so eager to be of assistance in any endeavour, and lots of fun. She will be greatly missed and especially by me.
