Robert T. Smith

Death Notice

SMITH Robert (Bob) Thomas Smith, peacefully at home on Saturday, June 3, 2006, with his family by his side. Devoted husband of 63 years to Nancy Margaret. Loving father to Glenn and his wife Mickey Smith of Mt. Brydges, Carolyn and her husband John Everest of London, and Louise and her husband Graham Schulert of Wardsville. He will be sadly missed and truly loved by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sister Madylin and her husband Lorne McCartney of Peterborough and brother Clayton and his wife Doreen Smith of London will miss their big brother. Bob served in the Army in World War II and has been a long time member and Elder of New St. James Presbyterian Church. He was a Senator at Sunningdale Golf and Country Club, and was active in Gyros of London and the Historical Automobile Society of Canada. Bob was blessed with a large extended family, special friends, and caring neighbours. He and his family are thankful for the support of his caregivers. Bob's wish for a private family service was honoured. Cremation has taken place. Bob was devoted to the care of animals and children. If you wish to express your sympathy, please consider a donation to Animal Outreach of London or the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario. The family would gratefully acknowledge your kindness.
