LONGSHAW Benjamin Leonard Longshaw, suddenly on Sunday, Feb 4, 2007 at Leamington Hospital in his 95th year. Formerly a long time resident of London, he spent his last 6 months at Sun Parlour Nursing Home in Leamington. He was born in Knutton , England, son of the late William and Priscilla Longshaw. Len arrived as a young lad to work in Strathroy, where he was treated as family by the Parkers. Later he made his home in London where he became a skilled plasterer. He also worked for many years at Emco until retirement. Len was predeceased by his wife Mary (Hostetlier) in 1991. Beloved father of Bill (Gloria) of Guelph and Clara-Lee (Wayne) Jessop of Windsor. Loving grandfather to Torin (Michele) of North Bay and Tyler of Toronto. Also loved by great-grandchildren, Spencer and Reilly Longshaw. He is survived by one sister, Helen, in England. Two brothers and five sisters have predeceased him. Special uncle of Bernard (Barbara) Gill of London. He will be fondly remembered by Ken and Melissa Jessop and family. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James at Richmond, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Bob Robinson from New St. James Presbyterian Church will conduct the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
