Charles C. Parsons
Charles C. Parsons, died suddenly at his residence in London on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Fran. Loving father of Lisa Gregorini and her husband Terry of Ingersoll, Grant and his wife Judy of Stayner, and Ian of Stratford. Cherished Poppa of Michael and Sara Gregorini and Ben and Matthew Parsons. Dear uncle of Carol Brown of London. Charlie was a tireless supporter of many charitable organizations including New St. James Presbyterian Church, Canadian Diabetes Association and St. John's Ambulance. For most of his career he worked with the Canada Trust Company, retiring in 1992 from the trust company as Senior Vice President, Southwestern Ontario Region. Charlie was admired and respected by friends and business associates alike for his quick thinking and ability to gently put you in your place. He was a wonderful husband to Frances (deceased 2003) and happily nursed her through a myriad of health issues. A fantastic dad, he always had time to spend with us even during his busy career with the trust company, and he was his grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who crossed his path. Friends may call on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford St. East at Wellington. Cremation with interment later at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association, St. John's Ambulance or New St. James Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged.
