Death Notice

Waugh, William W. - In London on Monday, November 10, 2008, William Winston (Bill) Waugh, passed away suddenly in his 84th year. Cherished husband of Marie Waugh for 61 years. Predeceased by his mother Daisy and his father Winston. Beloved father of Janice Keller, Jane Trudell (Paul), William Waugh, Jeanine Casar (Steve) and the late Joanne. Dear Grampa of Ben, Kate (Andrew), Jennifer, Bradley, Caylin, Emily, Vanessa, Jason and Adam. Dear brother of Nancy Pincombe and Sally Anne Chamberlain. Predeceased by brothers Kenneth and Donald. A resident of London, Thorndale and Grand Bend, Bill served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion #478. Bill was retired from Bell Canada for 26 years. We will forever remember Dad and Grampa for his tenderness and caring for all creatures great and small, his passion for the outdoors and wonderful fishing excursions. Bill was a handyman extraordinaire and he embraced his family and friends with good will, humor and vivid storytelling. All are invited to join us as we gather in honour and celebration at a visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. A private family memorial will follow at a later date. Cremation with interment in Grand Bend.
