Death Notice

MacKinnon, Reverend Farquhar “Fred” - after a lengthy battle with cancer, with his family at his side at Victoria Hospital on Monday, December 15, 2008, in his 77th year. Dearly beloved husband of Helena (Pippy) MacKinnon. Loving father of Brian MacKinnon and his wife Cindy, and Melody MacKinnon all of London. Proud grandfather of Timothy and Amy. Predeceased by an infant son. Dear brother of Alex and Mayrene MacKinnon of Texas, Harvey and Laura MacKinnon, Florella MacKinnon, Christene MacDonald all of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Mary and Jim Lyon of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Brother-in-law of Bruce and Carol Pippy, Norman and Donna Pippy, Kathryn Pippy, Nancy Pippy and partner Roger Fryer and Greta Pippy and the late Aubrey all of Prince Edward Island. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Fred was a faithful servant through the United Church of Canada. Friends will be received on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street at Dufferin Ave., where the memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, January 3 at 1:30 p.m.
