Ward, Gladys A. "Betty", nee Freeborn - peacefully at McGarrell Place on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late James Kitchener Ward. Loving mother of Daphne Bice and her husband Kevin, the late Ernest Crawford Ward and his wife Sheila. Dear "Buddy" of Jennie and her husband Joe Samorodin, Jory and his wife Renée Bice, Carey and his wife Donna, Geoffrey and his wife Damerka and James "Kit" Ward. Great-grandmother of Sofya and Taylor, Paris, Katelin, Kayla, Mackenzie, Taylor, Jaclyn, Hayley and Jake. Sister of Marjorie Travis and the late Joyce Robson, Thomas Freeborn and Helena Freeborn. Sister-in-law of Everett Robson, Maxine Thomson and Blanche Ward. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, 13 Mile Road, west of the Denfield Road. Interment St. George's Cemetery, Denfield.
