Dr. William Laing
Laing, Dr. William Henry - at his residence on Friday, February 12, 2010 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Laing. Brother of Charles Edward Carpenter and his wife Laura of Georgetown, Texas. Brother-in-law of David Magnus and his wife Evelyn of Luseland, Saskatchewan. Dr. Laing will be fondly remembered by many dear friends. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and during the Korean Crisis as a Naval Hospital Corpsman. Dr. Laing retired from the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps in 1968 as a Lieutenant Commander U.S.N. and Major U.S.M.C. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond. The funeral service will be conducted at St. Paul's Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street at Queens on Thursday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery, London. Memorial contributions to Youth Opportunities Unlimited would be gratefully acknowledged.
