Death Notice

ELSIE EDITH STEWART Elsie Edith Stewart, 88, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Tuesday July 27, 2010. Elsie was born in North Easthope Township on August 26 1921, the youngest child of the late Simon and Anna (Krantz) Hammer. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Charles (Chuck) Stewart. Elsie is survived by sons Ward Binkle and partner Suzanne Joanisse of Madoc; Ken Stewart and wife Rosemary, Larry Stewart and wife Patty, all of London and David Stewart and wife Wendy of Waterloo. Grandchildren, Shelly and Murray and family, Tracy and family, Lisa and Charles and family, Dan and Danielle and family, Cheryl and Randy and family, Karen and Chris and family, Jessica, Larry and Melissa, Diane and Reid, Jason, Adam and Nathan and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Beatrice Yungblut of Stratford, Georgina Hammond of Kitchener, sister-in-law Phyllis Hammer of Tavistock, sister-in-law Jean Hammer of Baden, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Elsie's life at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street, London, ON, on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be in Woodland Cemetery, London at a later date. A time for fellowship will follow the service at the funeral home.
