Logan, Ronald J. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Logan on Sunday, January 2, 2011, peacefully with his beloved wife of 54 years, Annabelle, by his side.
Loving father of Shelley (Fred), Melanie (Paul), Cynthia (Léon) and Sarah (Michael). Cherished grandfather to Melissa, Maxim, Benjamin, Madeleine, Lucas, Abigail, Harrison and Patrick.
Treasured brother-in-law of Janet Russell and her husband Frank. He also leaves his business partner and dedicated friend, Gordon Patton
Together with his wife Annabelle, he was an ardent fundraiser and supporter of many charitable organizations, including First-St. Andrew's United Church.
He was a gentleman of ethics and integrity who lived his life with energy, passion and style.
Born and educated in Toronto, he made London his home for 54 years. Renowned in the business community as co-owner of Patton's Place Furniture, he served on the boards of many of Canada's leading companies. He received numerous awards including an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Western Ontario.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the entire team at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital.
Visitation will be held at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM
The service will be at First-St. Andrew's United Church, 350 Queens Ave at Waterloo St, London, Ontario on Thursday, January 6 at 1:00PM.
