Edward Iskauskas

Death Notice

Iskauskas, Edward G.- Suddenly at his home on Monday, February 1, 2011 in his 83rd year. Lovingly remembered by his children, Vern Iskauskas and Vida Brodie and her husband Ian and his grandchildren Chloe and Lachlan, and Milvi Iskauskas. Eddie was born in Lithuania and escaped to Germany at the close of WWII, where he worked for the United Nations. He resettled to Canada in 1954 after several years in Australia. A long-time employee of 3M in Miami and London, in retirement he worked as an independent transportation broker until the day he died. He loved it. He will be remembered fondly for his sharp views and lifelong loyalties. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those who knew him. A memorial service will be conducted at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond on Saturday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation in the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.
