Service

Visitation continues at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home 620 Cross St. Dresden on Monday one hour prior to the complete funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Diane Macpherson, a dear family friend officiating.

Vera Bedford

Death Notice

BEDFORD, Vera Orilla (Gibson) - of London and Dresden passed away peacefully February 10, 2011 with her family by her side in her 100th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Cecil Bedford in 1991. Dearly loved mother of Allan Bedford and his wife Heather of London. Cherished Grama of Allan Bedford of Toronto and Holly Bedford of London. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews and their families. Vera was born in Camden Township and grew up in Wabash. She was the last survivor of the six children born to the late Harvey and Orilla (Poag) Gibson. She is predeceased by her brother Roy Gibson (Mary) and her sisters Elizabeth Vandelinder (Harold), Cora Holmes (Walter), Alma Ross (Lloyd) and Jean McDonald. Visitors will be received at James A. Harris Funeral Home 220 James St. London on Sunday February 13, 2011 from 2- 4 p.m., then to the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home 620 Cross St. Dresden for visitation on Monday one hour prior to the complete funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Diane Macpherson, a dear family friend officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations gratefully accepted for the Wesley-Knox Transportation Fund. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Longworth Long Term Care for caring about Vera as well as caring for her these past eight years. Many thanks to Dr. D. Birch for his care of Vera at Longworth.
