Udo Nagel

Death Notice

Nagel, Udo Andreas - peacefully at home on Thursday, March 3, 2011, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, in his 71st year. Left to mourn are his wife of 48 years, Joyce (Smith), his daughter Elise Nagel of London, granddaughter Jessica Nagel of Etobicoke and his beloved great-grandson Malakai Nagel of London. Dear brother of Marlies Black (Guy) of Ajax, Christine Nagel (Michael) of Scarborough. Also remembered by his nephew Patrick Black of Ajax. Predeceased by his parents Ingeborg (1987) and Paul Nagel (2008). Udo retired from the CNR in 1996 but continued to work for Led-Cor Industries as well as Drewlo Construction and Tricar. Udo was born in Kalbe/Milde, Germany and came to Canada as a 12 year old boy in 1953. He was Past Master of King Solomon’s Lodge #394 in Thamesford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond where the memorial service will be conducted on Monday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
