I am the daughter of Dorothy and Gordon Munn. Audrey was my mother Dorothy's cherished lifetime friend, whom she regarded with much love and affection. Regular family visits with Audrey and Tom, Tom Jr. and Pete form vivid vignettes in my memories of childhood because they were times filled with laughter and warmth. I will remember most indelibly, however, how Audrey would, no matter what my age or level of development, take the time to speak meaningfully to me. As a shy girl, feeling included and being able to sense that my voice was important to her, meant a great deal. She had a very special skill for making people feel included, worthy and understood. It was a lesson that I have tried to carry into my own life, especially when speaking with children. My mother chose very wisely when she chose enduring friendhip with Audrey. To me, she will always remain a remarkable woman, stylish, joyful and caring, who made a difference in my life.
Condolences to all Audrey's loved ones.
